What if your backyard was hundreds of acres of nature trails and community parks? Nestled at the base of Cougar Mountain, Talus has access to a trail network of about 200 miles and a nature preserve of more than 20,000 acres.
Totaling 630 acres in size, you might think that Talus is quite dense and heavily populated. However, only 25% of those acres are developed and lived-in, leaving a great expanse of untouched nature surrounding and flowing through the environmentally sensitive neighborhoods.
Talus contains several neighborhoods consisting of single-family homes, townhomes, rental apartments, and a retirement community.

Gorgeous sunrises over the Cascade mtns, close to shopping & I-90, friendly neighbors & the feel of living in the country as we’re surrounded by trees, trails & parks.
I like the basketball hoop at the park the best. And of course, I like the hiking trails right behind my house. My best friend lives here too and we ride the bus to school together.
For me, I appreciate the proximity to the town of Issaquah and the family-friendly aspect of Talus. We enjoy walking the development and the trails, especially during the summer when the views are longer range. We also have great neighbors that drive a true community spirit.
The stunning mountain views and neighborhoods tucked in among the trees; easy access to the freeway; shopping and restaurants just down the road…top-notch schools and so much to do right here in Issaquah. It’s a great place to raise our kids.
Ease of access to freeway, close proximity to shopping and restaurants. We love Issaquah. Have season tickets to Village Theater. Ski all winter and hike all summer. And best of all, we’re close to Nana and Pop who live at the Timber Ridge retirement center right here in Talus!
We looked and looked for a home in Issaquah. Finally found our beautiful new townhome right here in Talus! Has a view of the mountains, close to our work, and love the space we have to entertain our friends and family. This is a perfect place for us and someday we hope to raise our family here.
